Green and Purple Kale Flower
- Stem Count: 10 stem bunches
- Color: Colors range from solid green to green with purple centers. Best to be flexible with color.
- Season: Fall, Winter, Early Spring. Currently unavailable until Sept 2022
-
Special Care notes: Give them a fresh cut, place in water, and keep in a cool location. Long lasting and hardy. *Reflex the leaves to get them to "open" and be really large!
- Flower Design Type: Luxury Accent
- Pros/Cons
- Flower Care
- Quantity Help
- Substitutes
The Good: I'll be honest, it took me a while to come around to sticking veggies into my floral designs, but once I did, I was hooked! It kinda reminds me of a protea in the fact that it only takes one to make a statement. I also love the fact that they are so HUGE when you invert the leaves.
The Bad: Kale is pretty hardy but it's seasonal, making it tricky to find a similar replacement or substitute.
- Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water.
- Remove leaves below the waterline.
Kale is a 'Luxury Accent'. Based on our design suggestions and this flower's specific bunch size, here are our quantity recommendation:
- Bridal Bouquet: 1-2 stems
- Maids: 1 stem
- Bouts: Too large
- Corsages: Too large
- Centerpieces: 1-2 stems
- Large Arrangements: 1-2 bunches
Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.
Acceptable Subs: Kale is a tricky greenery to substitute because it's so unique, so we would have to base a sub off of your existing order and color palette.
