Sword Fern Greenery

Sword Fern Greenery

  • Stem Count:  18-20 stems
  • Color:  Green
  • Season:  All Year
  • Flower Design Type:  Greenery
  • Pros/Cons
  • Flower Care
  • Quantity Help
  • Substitutes

The Good: Ferns are so under-used since eucalyptus hit the wedding scene so we tend to incorporate it sparingly in bouquets and centerpieces because it can 'take over' with excess stems.  Sword ferns are hardy and mix well with all types of greeneries.

The Bad: None that we can think of!  Very nice to work with!

  • Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water.

Sword Fern is a 'Greenery'.  Based on our design suggestions and this greenery's specific bunch size, here's our quantity recommendation:

  • Bridal Bouquet:  5-7 stems
  • Maids: 3-5 stems
  • Bouts:  Sprigs
  • Corsages:  Sprigs
  • Centerpieces: 3-6 stems, depending on other greens involved
  • Large Arrangements:  1-2 bunches

Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions.  All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine.  For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop),  incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.

Acceptable Subs:  Umbrella fern, but Sword fern has never been unavailable.
